a/the mating connector I use is DigiKey 609-2115-ND and if you, instead of bitching had looked it up at DigiKey, you would have found that the manufacturers part number is 86093967113755LF.

Richard, contrary to what you believe, the manufacturers are not "out to get you", they may be incompetent, but a business model based on being 'evil' would be sure to fail (eventually).
