SO, what's the gender of the connector? The DigiKey/Mouser part number doesn't tell me much. If they used the manufacturer's part number it would help, but they don't
I've been using the DIN41612 connector for years, having once supported VME and Multibus-II. Consequently, I have plenty of stock of the ones I used in those cases. However, there are four such connector types, not considering pin length. There are straight male and straignt female and there are right-angle connectors of both sexes. I have to know whether I need to buy connectors before I can proceed, since the board itself doesn't have what I need. That, actually, is why I use the NMIY-0031 board from time to time. It supports the use of MCU's like the Maxim/Dallas DS89C430 in plcc, and that MCU can multiply the oscillator by either 2 or 4 to generate the system clock. Firmware can change the memory map, too, so I can simply place a DIN41612 connector on the site provided for that, and expand the system as needed, not to mention that there's a wire-wrap area sufficient for application-specific circuitry.
