what about the cost of a wire wrap board, sockets, components and a wire wrap tool compared to the cost of a devboard.

PS the reason I am 'pushing' the SILabs boards for newbies is that I can see no better way to gain understanding (and debugging) than the ICE functionality, which is included with the SILabs units, giving the newbie the ability to "look under the hood". I will, however strongly recommend that anyone that do not want to get locked into SILabs stay away from the f3x-up deviates and stay with the f0x-f2x derivatives
