As Erik said, for the 'V' you don't need (in fact, you must not) ground PSEN.
So, the sequence is: start FM, set it up, press the START button in it, it throws a "reset now" window, reset the board, lean back and enjoy :-) You might want to get a glance at the datasheet. And, doing so, you shall also go to www.sst.com, and get the datasheet of SST89E516RD2, which is apparently the same part, and that datasheet explains a lot of what NXP left behind the curtain... Didnt get you!!! The point is in starting the bootloader from the application, rather than by resetting the board. It's then upon your choice what will be the impulse which will start the bootloader. If you decide for the 'V', and get acquainted to it a bit, you will certainly understand. You can always ask here for the details. JW |
