In the past i have used MSC1210(TI make) and had used a level converter also(for RS232). For this NXP IC would the connections be similar to that of MSC1210??

So then i would have COM port of PC connected to RXD, TXD, GND of this P89V51 via RS232 level shifter IC. And a supervisor IC MCP101(GND, VCC in parallel with a bypass cap, reset pin of uC).

Then i can use Flash Magic to download my hex file.
