#146656 - Low cost 8051 Board For Domestic Use |
Hello people,
For quite some time i have been thinking of making a microcontroller board which can be programmed using free tools. For example, i recently downloaded and installed SDCC and it seems to be working fine.(I wrote my test program in notepad) http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes....umber/3477 Can you suggest me some controller to start with which would be readily available and not very costly. Also what downlaoder can i use for .ihx file generated for the controller you would suggest? Most important, the hardware connections for the same.Because i really strugled the last time with it. I tried my hands on AT89s51 and made a board. http://www.mytutorialcafe.com/Microcont...089S51.htm I used AtmelISP for the same. I had made a simple program to toggle an LED but it woudn't work. To summarize it, i m looking for a feasible 8051 controller(ISP)+ 'reliable wiring scheme'+ free tools available for the same(downloader) Any help would be highly appreciated... |
