What bothers me about the sort of thing that's happened here is that the O/P has asked a question, and, rather than receiving answers to his query, he's gotten "suggestions" as to how and why to do things differently

actually, if you view Peters reply with the other eye, you may as well say that he tried to guess what the OP wanted.

The original post does not even state that the question is about a '51 let alone which derivative.

If someone were were to ask "how do I interface a '51" the answer would be different for
