You said it provides the decoding. It does not. It provides direct access to the flash. There are MCU's that provide chip-selects, and THAT's decoding. If there's no external resource involved, there's no decoding involved.
I'm very familiar with internal FLASH, certainly familiar enough to know it requires no decoding effort, but I know of no 805x variants that provide decoding, i.e. external chip-selects to external resources. I do know of other MCU's that provide that. What your initial post in this thread suggests is that the variant to which you refer provides external decoding. Apparently, while it's not an entirely unthinkable possibility, that's not the case. RE |
