#113141 - This is not a personal attack, Peter Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What bothers me about the sort of thing that's happened here is that the O/P has asked a question, and, rather than receiving answers to his query, he's gotten "suggestions" as to how and why to do things differently. I don't believe this is helpful. It happens, in this case, that you, Peter, were the first one to pursue this line of reasoning, and that's why I jumped on you.
You're not the only one who does this routinely. It's far to common in this forum. When I ask a question, not just here, but anywhere, I want answers to my question, not suggestions about how to avoid my problem. It's like when someone asks for the time of day, yet he's told how to build a clock. When the lecture is over, he still doesn't know what time it is. Please don't take this as a personal affront, but, the O/P requested information about how to decode the memory address. How, exactly, does your response help him? RE |
