Comercial stuff gets designed, then sold for years. Redesign happens when it does not do the job, or the chips become obsolete.
With the cost of redesign, recertification and the we know this works factor, buisnesses do not want to spend the money.

So yes new stuff contains old parts. Many even have discontinued parts. Just buy a few years worth when you get the end of life notice.
