But how you will you test it, if it does not work that way? Wire-wrap is totally unsuited for such a complex microcontroller project! You urgently need a solid ground plane, which can only be accomplished by using a four layer board. For a much simpler microntroller circuit perhaps a double sided board, containing a solid ground plane would do. But for your application you definitely will need a four layer board!
