#112975 - I see another "illusion" Responding to: ???'s previous message |
While not posted, it seems that this "generic" board (an absolute oxymoron) is to be "populated by sockets" so that e.g. "if enough, only the 8k RAM will be installed".
What an illusion, the socket for the "optional" 32k RAM and the "mandatory" 8k RAM will codt more than making the 32k RAM "standard". So to "avoid" $2 for a 32k RAM if it is not "neded" Zeeshan populates with a $1.50 8k RAM and a $0.50 socket. Zeeshan, think this one through before you start. WHY ON EARTH put optional components on a wire-wrap?, if you wire-wrap, wire-wrap what you need every time. I totally agree with Kai that wire wrap is not advisable for anyone but an expert, but you seem to be stuck on that idea. Also, when thinking this one through look at clock rates for the components, if you include the 82xx parts you can not go over 8MHz for the uC clock - bet you missed that one, Erik |
