#106343 - Soldering Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Now, how can I solder the pins which are to be grounded? Since I am having top layer as ground plane, I cannot solder the IC sockets, and FRC connectors! It depends on the compnent.e.g. If you are using low-cost DIP sockets so you can lay athe ground pins on to the top layer, This was what i did .Since this is not a Double sided you'll have to find yourself the easiest way. For the pins which are to be grounded, will have just an isolated pad on the bottom layer, how to complete the electrical connection to the top layer?! (I am having a solution for this, but that is cumbersome, please tell me what you think) You just solder that pin on the top layer and leave the bottom pad alone. There is no need to 'complete the electrical connection to the top layer' For the IC's or throught hole components. For other signals you could use a 'Via' to connect to gnd. after prototyping your PCB you'll have to solder the bottom pad of the Via to the top plane. Farshid |
