Is the etch resist pencil expensive where you live? Dear Kai, Its not that much costly, but it is time consuming to coat the ink for larger areas, say a 6"x4" layer. I was using this etch resistant ink method for signal traces, sometimes, the tracks get etched away. The toner transfer method is robust in this sense, the tracks are intact in FeCl2. I once tried the method of toner transfer for double sided boards also. I took the print out of both the layer separately, and applied heat to transfer.
