#106273 - Single double-sided PCB ! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Andy just took the words out of my mouth.

BTW are you making PCBs by yourself ? I asked you for that to see if you are fabricating your PCBs yourself then i could suggest you such a scheme. But i did it upside down compared to what andy said. I put my drawn PCB traces on the bottom and the ground plane at the top. It would be very hard to solder the DIP components(such as sockets) in the top layer. There are few ground pins to solder compared to the whole pins. To Summarize : You could use a double sided PCB .Coat the top layer with a Acid-Resistant material and put your drawn PCB on the bottom. After Etching For the components which shouldn't make any contact with ground drill a clearance hole. In case you have a .6mm hole drill a 1.5mm bit at the top layer just to remove the copper not all the way throught the hole. I have created this webpage using Mozilla composer And i am viewing it with Mozila FireFox , so no problem :) It is nice of you to share your experiences with others. Good Luck, Farshid |
