Today was rubbish collection for us here. If I'd know of your interest, I could have sent 'em to you. I didn't even keep the ones that seemed to work OK, since I'm assuming there's a reason why they were rejected in the first place, before being pawned off on me by the Hamilton-Avnet folks.

BTW, if I held the pushbutton down a long time, they'd reset as on power-on, but even then, they'd fail in some other mode, since they never produced the expected behavior.

My practice is to discard suspect parts, no matter how nearly functional they may be. I had already wasted enough time on these 20-year old parts, and don't need to waste another minute on them.
