What I have is a fully functional circuit, but, when some of these components are inserted, they don't behave as they should, while others do. The reset is as AMD intended, and the original MCU was an AMD part.
The peculiar behavior with respect to reset didn't come up as an issue until the '90's, apparently. I think this has more ot do with the use of FLASH than with the reset circuit alone. Maybe not ... The reset waveform is as specified, and no number of power-ons will cause different behavior. They all reset just fine on power-on, but don't reset when the switch is pressed. The reset is a switch to GND, buffered through a 74LS14 hysteresis inverter. RE |
