If you're a small (<<100k units per week) consumer, you're likely to get 100% defective parts when they send you megacorp's floor sweepings.
You can't trust a U.S. distributor. You need incoming inspection. What's more, since soldering 'em into a board means wasting not only the MCU, but also the $2000 FPGA and the $500 of other parts ... well, you figure it out. It doesn't "blow" the board, it just wastes it, since you really can't do much with those parts already soldered in place. The only thing broken is the stuff you got from that distributor. How do you recover the FPGA in the BGA1148? Who desolders and reballs 'em for you? RE |
