#117758 - still no "normal" part Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The 64k "parts" are:
- Mentor and the "clockless" (there was a thread on it recently here) "Handshake solutions" are softcores (indicated also by missing package) - the DS5001/5002 have NO internal XRAM, although even the Dallas documentation is very confusing about it; DS225x are MODULES containing the previous "processors" plus RAM plus battery, in a SIMM - ehm - package - this leaves us with the rather exotic Terrazzon piece - which is a multichip module in a - again not very standard - PGA package... (and using the rather abused "RISC" expression in an even more bizarre way to label the CAST's 1-clock '51 core which is inside: "The TSCR8051Lx uses a Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) core so that many of its instructions are executed in a single clock cycle."). With a little exagerration, I could call a fully populated 8052.com SBC a "64kB XRAM '51" in the similar way. |
