#117427 - V, + and -
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Erik Malund said:
why 'V' I do not know, but they have a Very nice ISP system which is that if you feed them a 'U' within (is it) 300 mS of power up, they go into ISP.

At the same time, it is nasty, if something trnasmits into your gadget when it undergoes RESET: it can go into the bootloader mode falsely.
Fortunately, the bootloader is in FLASH, so it can be modified...

Also, they have something called SoftIce which, to the best of my knowledge, nobody has figured out yet

As I said elsewhere, you can use SST's documentation to work with it. It is a version of Keil's FlashMon (hence works with Keil only), which is a core-type monitor. This modification smartly uses the (surplus) Flash instead of the precious RAM.

PS: Oh yes, V might be for Voltage: the low voltage version of the RD2 is called "LV"...
