I know the advantages of using ICEs and similar - tried some of them.
I'm asking to find out if it's worth bothering with the uSD34xx. I'm not going to buy the Keil's toolchain plus a box - similar to Steve, I don't have none of it as I don't need it. But I would consider starting with uPSD34xx to try playing with the debug interface, if the information on it is available.
Btw. I _am_ convinced it is not - I happen to know that WSI/STM for years refused to provide parallel programming information on PSDs to a professional programmer producer - I'd guess because of contracts with other programmer manufacturers.
But as I've said - I understand NO as a policy, I just don't like it as a user and customer.
