JTAG should be JTAG - it's all the drivers and stuff between the JTAG, the USB, and the host tools where it gets proprietary... :-( Didn't ST buy them out ? They did. WSI invented the PSD as an add-on to the 8051 (among others) - a kind of modern, purpose-built 8255; Since buying WSI, ST have fairly recently combined the 8051 and the PSD onto a single chip - giving the uPSD. A truly single-chip solution (unlike the Triscend), but with not so much programmable logic as the Triscend. Still single-source, though... :-( |
