#100979 - There was no discussion of "inserting" Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The argument of "useless knowledge"
I do not know where you got the ""useless" from, I said: "So, you will gain information that you will forget ... is it worth it? - you judge.". I had no intention of making protocol knowledge "useless" merely the stressing of "explicit" which to my experience is what you lose. Well I can imagine a device in between a USB host and device, inserting and/or removing "features" from the datastream - that would require realtime operation, but I cannot imagine the purpose of such. There was no discussion of "inserting" or "removing" but the protocol analyzers I use, such ax Xpro J1708 analyzer, all are realtime and whatching the output while having the finger on a system button (e.g. "stop transmit") has been useful to me.
