#101010 - USB Tools Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What USB tools do I have - NONE
I'm in the same boat. I have used Snoopy.exe (that was a long time ago and I'm sure there is a better one now) and the validation software from USB.org. There is so much going on behind the scenes in USB that one could have a functional device that still hiccups a bit when it comes to some USB requests. It's possible, at least with HID, to make a functional product that violates one or more spec items. I'd say the toughest ones to meet are the low-power suspend and remote-wakeup items. You can make an HID device that completely misses the suspend/wakeup criteria but still enumerates and functions normally otherwise. Jan, using a 'scope or L.A. to view (bad) USB data is similar to using a 'scope or L.A. to find bad packets on a network. |
