Well I am not afraid of a huge or extensive protocol (notabene a huge implementation - which tells perhaps more about the implementators' approach than protocol complexity). I might be understimating it, though. I looked at some of the basics and find them reasonably simple. I compare it to IrDA - well THAT IS hard.

Nevertheless, this is NOT DIY, it's open source, hence under scrutiny of the community.

And, finally, why couldn't test it the other way 'round - decoding with my tool a known good commercial protocol?
