All stepper motors oscillate as they come to rest at each step, it is implicit in their operation, The oscillation will damp out pretty fast (determined by the motor construction, moments of inertia of the load etc etc etc)

That is what I ment.
It should not continuously vibrate. Once the shaft movement is settled (Depends upon motor characteristics like electric time cons. mechanical time cons. etc. under any circumstances it will not be in few secconds) then it should not start vibrating again. If so, then there is something else problematic.
