#104962 - Clock = 32MHz still decoder cheating. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Forum Members,
Earlier I was using 6MHz clock for HCTL2032 quadrature decoder derived from Prog. Clk out of V51RD2. I changed clock freuquency to 32MHz by connecting a Oscillator. There is some improvement in accuracy but still there are errors in decoder output. When ever the motor stops and is started again an error of approx. 1 degree is introduced. If i run the motor continously there is no error seen. The motor and encoder are coupled using Slitted Aluminim encoder coupling and are kept on my desk. They are not screwed or fitted but simply kept. I notticed that if i hold motor tight with my hand on top of it the error seen in decoder output reduced by great margin. One thing is clear it is the vibration produced when motor stops that causes error, but how do i deal with this. These vibrations are going to be there when it will be mounted in machine.
