#105071 - you have something defective Responding to: ???'s previous message |
you have something defective, I can only guess what it would be. A good encodeder with a good quadrature detector and a good, extraneous noise free connection DOES provide reliable results. A few guesses
1) your micro does not capture very fast outputs from the QD 2) you are using a QD with single ended output or are treating a differential output as single ended. 3) you have some relays or such on the board that generate enough noise to upset the readings. 4) you ahve a defective component. Again : A good encodeder with a good quadrature detector and a good, extraneous noise free connection DOES provide reliable results. Find the proble and fix it before you install at the amchine. Erik Ps: one of the most startling effects I have seen of encoder problems is a rotary knitting machine out of synch. There are threads all over the places tied in knots no boy scout ever heard of. |
