#104993 - lower the clock Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I know this, but have not seen it with true quadrature converters.
When a machine stops so that the encoder stop exactly across a tranaparent/opague border you can see up down reversals at a frequency of several MHz. There is no way to avoid this (zero slip gears fdo not exist). If you still see inaccuracies at 32MHZ clock (are you sure it is not 11.66 from a 3rd overtone xtal running base freq) I think something is amiss other than the clock frequency. Erik Which is why I was suggesting a lower clock frequency for the 2032, then these high freq pulses get filtered out. 33MHz is the 2032 chip limit not the required clock freq. |
