#104872 - shaft encoder & HCTL2032 with stepper. |
Dear forum members,
I am using V51RD2 micro in an application that drives stepper motors in closed loop mode. I am using snayo denki 50kg-cm motors coupled with 500PPR encoders and the diffrential output of encoders fed to HCTL2032 via 26LS32. These bipolar motors are driven using L297 + dual L298 type chopper drives. I am using only A and B channels of encoder Index is not used. The problem I am facing is the encoder + HCTL2032 gives misleading results if I start and stop the motor several times. Every time it stop and start some error is seen in shaft position. I wrote a program that moves the motor through one roation by polling encoder waits for a second and then move again one rotation and continues this 50 times. The encoder is polled every time stepper motor is pulsed. After 50 Rotations there is considrable error seen on shaft position. How to deal with this problem. |
