To find "specific critical points", you can buy a $100.000 worth piece of equipment (I have seen it during my cellphone career) and find out - OR - you can follow all the rules and not worry about "specific critical points" because you will not have any. The exception where the a $100.000 worth piece of equipment becomes a necessity is when you NEED to break the rules (such as fitting a ton of chips into a cellphone).

If you have broken, say, 47 rules, they will most likely interact in such a way that rule 22 and rule 41 both are equally gulty.

Anyhow a rule: "the oscillator must be absolutely totally close to where the clock is used" (here the uC). How do you move a component on a PCB to obey a rule without breaking another rule: "avoid lose wires"?

I know of no "quick fix or just a method". The one and only "band-aid" I know of is to solder .1uF caps directly across every chip on the board.
