But the trouble with 1layer and the ground return is, that the ground, although wide, go necessarily round and round, creating big loops and common ground resistance paths.
The above problem only exist with "lazy" layouters. A one layer board, properly made have separate ground paths to a cemtral point from all chips. (some exceptions exist e.g. you route oscillator ground to the uC, the uC to the star point). Erik "lazy" is deliberately in quotes, other reasons (e.g. insufficient knowledge) exist. |
