Any hypothetical (or not) case of incorrect programming procedure can only result in a wrong code programming, but cannot affect the Flash Data Retention time, because it cannot affect the MCU self-timed cycle.
nope Where in the Atmel litterature do you find "we will bet you a million bucks that if you violate the programming protocol, the flash will not be partially charged, it will program correctly or fail" Yes, If the Atmel code in the chip is perfect (fat chance) and you do not happen to stumble into whatever 'hole' there is in that code (fat chance if you 'try', instead of 'design') then your statement is correct. Now, tell me that the Atmel code is 'perfect' and that nobody will ever "stumble into a hole in some code" and I'll buy your argument. The issue here is not so much whether it will happen or not, the real issue is that, if it happens, you will not know Erik I am sure Atmel has made a very good 'mousetrap' so why the h... is everybody amd his brother trying to make a better one? |
