I've noticed that this is not uncommon. Now, I know there are numerous "gimme code" or "do my homework" requests, but I'm not sure this was one.

It probably would happen less frequently if the reply from this forum took the form, "Here's one way of solving your problem, but maybe you should consider this ..." instead of "Why would you want to do that???"

Look back in the history. You'll see it happening often, and, just as often, the O/P doesn't come back.
