I remember lokking at it new. Nice chip, but expencive. Dgigkey shows $7.44 US for 1 and $6.00 for 100.

For one of's or beginners maybe $8 is worth the time savings. Someone is using them. They still make them.

Build or buy is always a choice. For a hobbiest beginner everything is a chalenge.

Now acually looking at the data sheet. Hook up the 4 data pins to a port. Then Poll. Or Hook up the INT pin to INT0 or 1 and read in the interupt.


The OP appears to have left. Be nice it they left their solution for others.
