The SiLabs of PICs is the Ubicom SX. Parallax sells SX-based Basic Stamps, approx. 10x the power of the original Basic Stamp. While, based on raw clock, the fastest SiLabs might beat this by a factor of say 3-5, I doubt the amount of work needed to accomplish a reasonable compatibility (or to produce a similar amount of supporting software, both on PC and applications) is worth doing it.
