RAM - I/O- Timer also obsolete. They had an EPROM - I/O chip too.
He can most likly get his whole progect onto a single 40 dip with buffer to drive the relays and LEDs. No programmer required. Why add in all of the extra parts plus he will still need buffers to drive the I/O. With all that extra wire (Unless he is making a PCB) It is less likly to work. I recommened the TPIC6273 it works like a 74xx273 but can drive a relay or LED. ULN2003 (or the like) connected directly to the ports is all he needs. |
