If we take those "programmers" and give them a task, a 16 MHz 386SX with 32 MB of RAM, and a 100 MB hard disk, no food, a full water cooler, and don't let them go to the bathrooom, or anywhere else, until the task is complete, fully documented, and 100% bug-free, requiring that no console command take longer than 10 ms from the last keystroke to execution, they'll either die or get the job done right for a change.
