#130487 - the misnamed RTOS Responding to: ???'s previous message |
We all should know very well that the 'R' in RTOS stand for a quite different 'real' than 'real' as in immediate. A RTOS is a mistake with the '51, for one, all OS's I know of INCREASE interrupt latency, which is deterimental to a microcontroller application.

I do believe that this is where the '51 RTOS comes in. Someone that has done a microcontroller application decides to make a microprocesor application and "does not want to invest" OK, if you want to make a kludge, DO realize that what you are making is a kludge, it will never be an 'elegant' use of a a microcontroller for a microprocesor application.
