If you have no money, there is SDCC only. If you make 1.000.000 units, you need the most efficient compiler. Well, sometimes you are in between... Or you don't have the money but expect to sell 1E6 (or whatever number of) units... What I meant is... as fo AVRs, gcc is not SO bad compared to IAR (which is supposed to be the best), based on code size (of course there can be other criteria valid per case). I wonder, whether there are any similar (or better) benchmarks around for keil/iar/raisonance/anything and SDCC. JW |
