#98629 - Shunt Resistors Responding to: ???'s previous message |
In my past life as a test engineer, 200 to 400 Amp measuremetns where very common. I have used 100mV/200A shunts in the past and there is a company that makes them (don't remember the name just now, but will post when I can dig it up- or just try google on your own). They are available in many ranges (once bought 200mV/5000A ones long ago), so finding one in your range is possible. Of course, you'll probably need a DIFF AMP for amplifying the signal.
Also, the ones I used where "bolt-down", not PCB mountable, and about 4" in length. The pricing as near as I can remember, for the 200A range, was around $50 to $100 USD Hope this helps Andy |
