#134896 - A Guy in England Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Mike,
I used the IVEX suite and found it quite acceptable until I started running into resolution problems. Once I started getting down to trace/space dimensions of <0.010" it started seeing shorts where none existed (during ERC). Unfortunately IVEX is no longer in business, so I'm not sure how much any of this matters. I recently bought a package called PCBCAD21 from a guy in England. He sells it on eBay (click here to see listing). I'm still using Protel 99SE, and haven't taken the time to give his software a full shakedown run yet. Still, what little I have looked at seems to be pretty good, especially for the money. He only charges something like $36 or so. I can tell you this. PCBCAD21 runs on Windows 98 and later. I don't think it runs on Windows 95, but the guy probably has an older version that will. Contact him through eBay and ask. Good luck, Joe |
