You normaly pass values to a subroutine in registers so if the subroutine immediately switches banks you have lost the passed parameters.
In the steam driven days values were not "passed to subroutines ", C was something faccy for those that "could not code as a real man". In pure assembler, you rarely (never?) "pass" values, global storage does fine, thank you. Erik |
