#160856 - Design work before chip selection Responding to: ???'s previous message |
There is a reason why you should start by making a rough design before selecting a processor. If you just take a processor and start to design, then you will quickly get into troubles when you have to figure out work arounds.
A rough design will not be perfect, but it should identify your requirements. For each requirement, you have to decide if it is a "must" or a "recommended" and what the cost and/or risk is if you select hardware or software (if a software workaround is even possible). And you should make a rough estimate of needed RAM, flash, EEPROM, ... and how these figures may change with or without different hw support. |
