Hello,
You can use any of 89LPC9xx series. 89LPC931 might suits more to your application. These MPUs has built in flash which can be used as EEPROM as you can read and write single bytes as well. Moreover they have built-in reset circuit and built-in RC oscilator. That makes life very easy as there will be no external components required.
89LPC series is manufactured by Phillips lately knows as nxp semicondutors. You can search more info and application notes at www.nxp.com
