... rather than solely addressing the O/P's original question. Take a look at this thread on the Keil forum: http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread10184.asp It's a classic case where the OP has a flawed approach, and is asking for help to fix a fundamentally broken solution! So you think people should solely have addressed the fundamentally broken solution rather than, as actually happened, get him to explain the real requirement and change to a more appropriate solution?! An analogy: Q: When I hit a nut with a sledgehammer, it gets squashed to a nasty, mushy pulp with the nut all mixed up with bits of shell - how can I stop this? So, should we just concentrate on devising ways to use a sledgehammer gently, or maybe design some jig that assures that the nut is cracked but not squashed, or some way to extract the bits of shell and re-form the nut, or should we rather suggest that the OP consider whether the sledgehammer is not, in fact, an appropriate solution...? Sometimes it's helpful to avoid attacking the intelligence of the O/P. Everyone has a silly notion from time to time. It's not fatal. RE |
