Steve - no, I didn't get to go to the library. I was informed of its historical significance though. On my day off I got driven down to Cairo to see the pyramids via the desert road.

Never before have I been ripped off so much - just about everywhere I went, I got screwed! Luckily, I had my driver (who couldn't speak a word on English) to look after me when I went to Cairo.

After Egypt, I went to Paris for a week. I think I suffered from egyptology overload - firstly the museum in Cairo, then the Louvre.

I must've had a bad kebab in Egypt - I was suffering during my stay in Paris.
