#132943 - 610msec reset active time of MAX1232 not enough? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I'm going to try a PNP switch on the MCU, driven by a comparator on Vcc against a reference. That may take me a few days, but it'll be interesting to see what it does. If I count 2K oscillations on the X2 pin, that should enable me to be comfortable that the oscillator is running. I'm going to have to cook up some sort of a reset circuit. Is the reset active time of 610msec (typical), that the MAX1232 offers not enough? The reset active time starts when Vcc has reached 4.75V. This should be well enough to have the oscillator successfully started? Kai |
