is also a problem. Even with external reset (and clean Vcc), if Vcc rise time is >10mS, something is wrong in spite of any posterior reset: internal clock goes half the speed.
The point is that all this "changes" require lot of painful and expensive time. Atmel discontinues AT89S8252 (it is impossible to buy anymore; bah, I got some parts:), and the 8253, that should have been be a drop-in replace (enhanced, OK), has a different ALE behavoir, Vcc noise tolerance is worst, you have to keep an eye also in rise time... But I have to say that the support was fine: they answer my questions very fast, send some last revision parts. |
