No, that is completely incorrect!

Download the current datasheet direct from Atmel here:

Now look at the DC Characteristics on page 12; the following notes appear at the foot of the page:



Read it carefully:

It does not say that Iol is limited; it says that Iol must be externally limited, doesn't it?

It doesn't even say 10mA - let alone 10mA per port, does it?
